Funds to assist child care providers whose businesses were damaged or destroyed by Superstorm Sandy
The State of New York has been awarded funds from the Federal Government to assist child care providers whosebusinesses were damaged or destroyed by Superstorm Sandy. If you have not been reimbursed by FEMA, the Small Business Administration (SBA) or your own insurance for all storm damages you incurred, you may be eligible for these funds.
To help determine the total of damages and if you are eligible for this funding, you must complete and return the attached survey by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, June 16, 2013. The survey should take less than 30 minutes to complete. Before you start the survey, it will be helpful to have the following information available:
- your insurance coverage and claims
- claims for Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA)
- claims for Small Business Administration (SBA)
- costs for damage to your home or building
- changes in enrollment
If you were not affected by the storm, please complete at least Section 1 of the survey.
If you operate multiple sites, you will receive multiple e-mails with links to surveys. Please use the link in each e-mail to complete a survey for each site.
