Minimum Qualifications

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is looking for dedicated, talented individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children. Teacher positions are located at Residential and Secure Facilities throughout New York State.

In order to be considered for employment as a Teacher in our agency, interested individuals must have New York State certification in good standing in the appropriate specialty for which you apply; e.g., Special Education of English required. Individuals selected for employment will be hired as either a Teacher 2, 3, 4.

Salary

Starting salary is $38,934-$61,763 depending on experience. A comprehensive benefit package is offered that includes health insurance, dental and vision, paid holidays and a retirement plan.

Nurse 2

Minimum Qualifications

You must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York AND have one year of post-RN licensure clinical nursing experience.

Candidates for this position must submit to fingerprints and are subject to criminal history record check and New York State Child Abuse Registry clearance before employment.

Duties

Provide nursing interventions consistent with the nursing process and supportive of the overall treatment plan to include documentation of nursing interventions and their outcomes.  Some of these programs and services may include, but are not limited to, case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well being.  May also participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team.

Salary

Starting salary will be $45,940-$58,468 depending on experience. Additional compensation may apply based on location and/or shift differential. A comprehensive benefit package is offered that includes health insurance, dental and vision, paid holidays and a retirement plan.
