The Adoption Album is a website (www.ocfs.state.ny.us/adopt/) that allows persons interested in adopting children to:

• View photographs and read descriptions of children available for adoption statewide.
• Search for specific qualities about available children.
• Learn about the adoption process.
• Learn about other families with successful adoption experiences.

What are the benefits of the Adoption Album to prospective parents?

The Adoption Album is beneficial to prospective adoptive parents in many ways. Primarily, it allows families to review information and search the album at a time that is most convenient to them. It is also user friendly, allowing persons interested in adopting children to access extensive information from a computer. Additionally, The Adoption Album allows the entire family to review the website together.

How can you access the Adoption Album?

You can access The Adoption Album by logging on the Internet at: www.ocfs.state.ny.us/adopt/

Who are the children in the Adoption Album?

All of the children highlighted in The Adoption Album are available for adoption and in need of a loving, safe and permanent home. Many are between the ages of seven and thirteen and many are members of a sibling group who need to be adopted together.

Interested in Adopting?

If you are interested in adopting a child, you can:

• Visit us on our website: www.ocfs.state.ny.us/adopt to see photographs of children and read descriptions of available children.
• Call the New York State Adoption Service at 1-800-345-KIDS (5437).
• Contact your county Department of Social Services (in New York City, contact the Administration for Children's Services) or an approved adoption agency.

Register with The Family Adoption Registry. The Registry matches interested families with children listed in the Adoption Album. New York State residents can register by contacting their county Department of Social Services or an approved adoption agency. Out-of-state residents can register by contacting the New York State Adoption Service directly at:
