HFNY targets expectant parents and parents with an infant less than three months of age who have characteristics that place them at high risk for child abuse or neglect and live in vulnerable communities marked by high rates of poverty, infant mortality, and teen pregnancy. HFNY's home visitors provide families with support, education, and linkages to community services.

Co-location of Domestic Violence (DV) advocate at the CPS office to provide protocol development, case consultation, home visits, corss-training, and jointly work to safety plan for DV victims and their children.  Advocates may also provide direct services to victims and their families.

Parent Helpline is an information and referral service for parents, professionals, and others who want to find help and support for families. It is a free, confidential, and multilingual line, available for anyone in New York State.  Services are available 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.  After 10 p.m., you can leave a message with our live answering service and a Helpline Specialist will return your call the following morning.

Assists Kinship caregivers, and children in their care, in gaining access to information and community support services. Any caregiver residing in the State is able to utilize the toll-free phone line or website to identify Kinship care related services in their home locale. In addition, Kinship specialists are available to assess caregiver needs and develop a plan of action.
